Two-headed Lindwurms were released on August 4, 2013, alongside the Duotone Dragon during the "Two-Headed Madness Release". They were the first two-headed lindwurms to be released on Dragon Cave. Like all other two-headed dragons, they can only breed with their own kind and their eggs cannot be bitten by Vampire Dragons.

Under the old Breed sort, these dragons sorted as "2-headed lindwurm" on a user's scroll and as a result, were alphabetized before all other creatures (but following Split Dragons). As of August 14, 2016, they now sort using their Encyclopedia name.

Official Dragon Descriptions

Egg

"This opalescent egg shimmers in the moonlight."

Hatchling

"Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. It has two heads that, despite being in different moods, don’t seem to mind each other."

Mature Hatchling

"Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. It has two heads that, despite being in different moods, don’t seem to mind each other.
And look! It has grown wings! It must be close to maturing."

Adult

"Two-headed Lindwurms are a strange breed that are usually only be seen at night—especially when the moons are full and they feel their vigor is at its best for hunting. The rest of the time, these dragons are well-hidden deep within caves or crypts; they enjoy sitting in dark places. Each of their heads has a different mood and personality than the other, and since they have have different brains, they rarely share the same thoughts—and never the same pain. They are so fully separated, one head can be asleep while the other is awake."

Trivia

  • They were reported to have dropped in the Coast (purple) and Jungle (green) during their initial release, but this has since been changed.
  • Before the release of the Encyclopedia, the Two-headed Lindwurm's description gave the first hint that the world of DC is not Earth, as the description mentions multiple moons.

Additional Information

Thing is, the purple 2-heads were my Halloween submission for last year. ^^ I made the green 'alt' for myself, but since they weren't used as Halloween dragons, I decided to use them both as color variations, if they will eventually get in-cave.

Since they drop in different places, I could hardly call them alts. They're more like coppers, than ridgewings or dorsals.

But if people want to call them 'alts', I don't mind either way.

Their ratios should be the same.

  • Regarding the breed's description upon initial release:
Looks like someone's already altered the original description they had. Oh well... It happens. Although, I'd prefer if it stayed they way I initially put it.

  • Regarding the breed's rarity:
To everyone: opals are an uncommon breed like the trios, blacks, GW's, etc, so they will be harder to find than say, Greys, Albinos and other uber-commons.

And don't worry. ratios will sort themselves out in time and everyone will have a chance to catch at least one.

  • Regarding the breed's color variations:
There is no such thing as Alt 2-Headed Lindwurm. >.> They're just 2 different colors that drop in different biomes.

Purple was made first. Then I recolored them green.
