I seem to remember that, long, long ago in the early days of the cave, it was possible to have a failed attempt to abandon a hatchling. Namely, that if the "abandon" action were chosen, there was a certain chance that the hatchling would "follow" you back rather than stay abandoned at the cave. I don't think I've ever encountered this recently, but does anyone have more information on it? It'd be interesting to know more in-depth about how it used to work, if possible. 04:00, January 21, 2011 (UTC)

Interesting. i'll post a topic on the forum to get some info on it. Votehim 03:31, January 23, 2011 (UTC)

What I've gotten is:
  1. it's still used
  1. it happens more with hatchlings that are close to maturing than with dragon that are newly hatched.
  1. after it happens, you can not attempt to abandon it again until the midnight immediately following.

I still need to get the exact description quotes, but that shouldn't be to hard to get. Votehim 05:40, January 23, 2011 (UTC)
