Rosebud Dragons were the all-female Holiday species given out during Valentine's Day of 2011. They are only capable of producing more Rosebud eggs during a certain period when Valentine's Day is celebrated in February. They can still be bred to all year round, producing the male's breed of egg. Each scroll/account is currently limited to 2 CBs of this breed, like all other Valentine's Day dragons.
In the past, this breed was limited to 2 per scroll/account, whether bred or CB. Any other Rosebud eggs that were obtained were automatically abandoned if picked up in the abandoned page or main cave, and after 30 minutes if bred.
Under the old Breed sort, these dragons sorted as "Valentine 2011 Dragon" on a user's scroll. As of August 14, 2016, they now sort using their Encyclopedia name.
Official Dragon Descriptions
Egg
"This sweet smelling egg is covered by a ribbon."
Hatchling
"Aww... It's a cute baby dragon. It's chubby and pink with a faint rose-like smell."
Mature Hatchling
"Aww... It's a cute baby dragon. It's chubby and pink with a faint rose-like smell.
And look! It's grown wings and the flower is blooming! It must be close to maturing."
Adult
"Rosebud dragons are a fun and social breed found most often in the spring. The petal-like feathers that grow on their sides spread their sweet and floral scent. Although they have poor eyesight, they have ribbon-like extensions that extend their olfactory abilities to help create a map of the area around them. When flying, Rosebud dragons tend to hover, using their wings to fan their scent throughout the air. Being widespread, they go to great effort to visit as many flowery fields as possible."

Additional Information
“
- I was inspired by a wreath of pink roses with a very pretty ribbon. They may look a bit equine, many people have said my dragons tend to look that way, however I disagree as I mix feline and equine anatomy in my work. The last sentence in the description is suppose to mean a wide spread breed/species, as they are similar to, say a hummingbird in their actions. I have made a reference for them and it's found in my deviantart gallery.
