− | Ridgewings breed like commons with the color of the dragon randomized from the blue and tan versions. However, the tan version is rarer and can be comparable to alternate black and vine dragons. Ridgewings currently have no breed specific action. |

⚫ | Ridgewing Dragons were released on August 28, 2010, along with Flamingo Wyverns. The "55 Days Release" was named due to the amount of time that lapsed since the the prior release (55 days). As of August 28, 2017, these dragons can produce Carina Dragons when bred to Nebula Dragons. |
||
+ | Ridgewings are among the few dragons that possess a color variation. Unlike Alts, both colors can be cave-born or bred, with the tan color being slightly less likely to be encountered in either situation. |
||
⚫ | |||
− | Previously, Ridgewing dragons had been set with this hatchling description: |
||

||

− | <u>And look! It's grown it</u><u>s wings.</u> It must be close to maturing. |
||
− | |||
− | This sparked many jokes on the forum and IRC alike. Since then, their descriptions have been changed. |

Ridgewing Dragons were released on August 28, 2010, along with Flamingo Wyverns. The "55 Days Release" was named due to the amount of time that lapsed since the the prior release (55 days). As of August 28, 2017, these dragons can produce Carina Dragons when bred to Nebula Dragons.
Ridgewings are among the few dragons that possess a color variation. Unlike Alts, both colors can be cave-born or bred, with the tan color being slightly less likely to be encountered in either situation.
Official Dragon Descriptions
Egg
"A cool mountain breeze blows around this egg."
Hatchling
"Aww... It's a cute baby dragon. It was born with a full set of wings."
Mature Hatchling
"Aww... It's a cute baby dragon. It was born with a full set of wings.
And look! It's wings have grown larger! It must be close to maturing."
Adult
"Ridgewing dragons live just below the snow level on the upper slopes of mountains. They are a friendly, playful breed and enjoy dancing in wind currents near their homes or plummeting down into valleys from great heights. Their wings, by far their most striking feature, grow in fin-like ridges along their backs. While their bodies lack markings to blend better with their surroundings, a Ridgewing dragon's wings have bright markings in the colors of the flowers that grow in their mountain habitat. Occasionally different-colored individuals can be found, but they are rare because their striking coloring offers little protection."
