These "dragons" are not really dragons at all! Based loosely on the sprites from Yoshi, these shoe-wearing dinos feature a much different, lighthearted style than the more serious dragons. Grown dinos possess no known gender and are therefore unbreedable (however, this is a recent change; dinos in the past were all gendered male and shortly before the change they were also female).

Dinos come in 5 colors: Green, red, blue, yellow and Purple. Purple was the only color not originally on the site from the start and was added recently. The old sprites of the Dinos were actually in fact different colored Yoshi sprites. These Dinos have no breed specific action and are all classed as rare.

Purple Dinos are the newest breed of Dino. They were released on July 15 2009 with the Albino, Cheese, Ochredrake, and Pygmy Dragons, but their image was not included on the announcement nor were their sprites in TJ's post, so it took a few hours after the release for the breed to be discovered.

Official Description

Adult:

"Finally, after much feeding, your baby has grown into a full Dino! Dinos can eat almost anything, including things with spikes. In order to do so, they must have very tough stomachs. 'Purple dinos are the only breed of dinos that are capable of flight, thanks to their wings."

Matured Hatchling:

"You were right, it's not the same species as the other eggs. So if it's not a dragon, what is it? And look, it's gotten bigger! Maybe it will reach its full size soon."

Hatchling:

"You were right, it's not the same species as the other eggs. So if it's not a dragon, what is it?"

Egg:

"This egg looks like it doesn't belong; it is brightly colored with white spots. It's much lighter than the other eggs."
