Neotropical Dragons were released on August 25, 2009, alongside Deep Sea, Horse, Water Walker and Waterhorse Dragons.

Several Neotropical dragons were affected by the 2009 Datamonster attack that occurred shortly after their release. Many users reported losing Neotropical eggs and hatchlings during the event.

Official Dragon Descriptions

Egg

"This egg has strange yellow stripes."

Hatchling

"Aww... It's a cute baby dragon. Ever since it hatched, it has been hiding among the tree leaves."

Mature Hatchling

"Aww... It's a cute baby dragon. Ever since it hatched, it has been hiding among the tree leaves.
And look! It's grown its wings! It must be close to maturing."

Adult

"Neotropical dragons are a breed that originate in rainforests. They are fun-loving and enjoy lounging on tree branches, eating whatever fruit they find. They are also often found sunning themselves on rocks, using their large wings to soak up the rays. In the summer, males compete for mates by showing off their striped wings and gliding in spirals down the tree trunks. It is said that the larger the wings, the more likely the male will attract a suitable mate."

Additional Information

The Neotropical Dragon is the Howler's sworn enemy. Always trying to steal their mushrooms. *shakes fist*

While I didn't say "common mouse" per say, the neos were supposed to be very stupid... more like a lab rat in intelligence. Problem solvers yes, but at the same time not all that bright.
