Moonblight Pygmies were released on September 28, 2025, alongside their standard, two-headed and drake counterparts. Like all pygmies, they can only breed with other pygmies, and their eggs cannot be bitten by Vampire Dragons.
Adult Moonblight Pygmies undergo a transformation when the golden moon Aurax is in its crescent or new phase and the blue moon Cirion is in its gibbous or full phase. During this time the dragon is unable to breed, but a Breed Specific Action called Curse becomes available, allowing the Moonblight to spread its affliction to a living hatchling. The attack has a chance to not affect the hatchling or even result in its death.

No one knows how the first Moonblight dragons came to be. Frail and unable to use magic, most are staunch pacifists with gentle natures and a love for warm, sunny days. Some say they were once powerful magic users, whose arcane rituals to draw unnatural strength from the moons went horribly awry. Whatever the case may be, when the moons align—one full, one empty—things tend to get...hairy.
Pygmy Moonblights are an uncommon sight. A stark contrast to other Moonblights, they are often extremely aggressive and highly territorial. Whether this stems from a desire to protect others from their curse or is, in fact, a direct effect of the affliction is unknown.

Warped by their curse, transformed Moonblights are mindless beasts, incapable of recognizing even their own family and friends. They will attack any living creature on sight, passing on their affliction to any dragon unfortunate enough to be wounded by them.
