Impish Pygmies were released on released on May 21, 2025 as part of Dragon Cave's 19th Birthday release, alongside Phantasma Dragons, Luna Dragons, Ouhou Wyverns and Gloomstalker Pygmies.
Impish Pygmies have the Breed Specific Action Feed. Through this action, the user may select an egg on their scroll to feed the dragon. If fed between 6:00 PM and 6:00 AM, the dragon may change appearance depending on the elemental alignment of the egg. Using Feed takes up a Kill slot and puts the Impish Pygmy on cooldown for 7 days.

Impish Pygmies are a curious breed of dragon. Though small, they make up for their lack of size with their propensity for mischief. They are not necessarily malicious or wish to cause harm to others, but can often be the source of frustration for those unequipped to handle their insatiable curiosity and inclination toward trouble-making. Despite their well-known reputation for hijinks, many fall victim to the Impish Pygmy’s gentle and fluffy appearance. However, these pygmies are not always so saccharine and innocent appearing-- there are many reports of Impish Pygmies drastically changing appearance and demeanor into something far more sinister, though it is uncertain if this transformation is triggered by their environment or diet, as these pygmies rarely come out from the cover of darkness.

Variant determination[]
The appearance of an Impish Pygmy can be changed by feeding it an egg between 6:00 PM and 6:00 AM. The primary elemental affinity of the fed egg's breed determines the color of the dragon. A dragon who was previously fed can be fed again to change its color.
Feeding an Impish Pygmy an egg of Neutral or no affinity during the effective period will result in a random variant, including fluffy.
