Hunter Dragons were released on May 21, 2023, alongside Arrakyma Dragons, Flare-Tail Pygmies, Lightstreak Dragons, Marocephalic Dragons, Silvershade Wyverns, and Stellarum Wyrms.
Hunter Dragons gained the Breed Specific Action Copy as part of the August 2024 release. This action allows a Hunter Dragon to copy the BSAs of Green, Purple, Red, Pink, Magi, and White Dragons, giving that Hunter use of Earthquake, Fertility, Incubate, Influence, Teleport, or Ward depending on the copied dragon. Using Copy immediately puts the target dragon's BSA on cooldown, but makes the action available to the Hunter. The Hunter retains the copied BSA in addition to the Copy action until a different BSA is copied. The copied BSA behaves exactly as it would if used by its original breed. Copying a BSA also causes the Hunter to change its appearance, taking on colors similar to the copied breed. The Copy action can be used once every 30 days.

Adult[]
Standard form[]
Hunter dragons are forest dwelling creatures known for having a high success rate of taking down prey. While most commonly seen scouting alone or patrolling in small territorial groups, they live in hierarchical packs of twenty or more individuals. Their most notable attribute is their ability to change the color of their scales to mimic their surroundings. This skill allows them to disappear into their environment, ambushing prey and trespassers alike. Some rumors do exist of a Hunter dragon copying other dragons, even going so far as to imitate the behaviors of breeds wildly different from themselves.

- Just in case y'all aren't on the discord, the Hunter Dragons' reference has been guessed!
And as the concepter I can confirm, it's Mega Man!
So I'ma drop this:
https://megaman.fandom.com/wiki/Mega_Man_X_(series)
And this:
https://megaman.fandom.com/wiki/Mega_Man_(original_series)
And this because they just released a legacy collection:
https://megaman.fandom.com/wiki/Mega_Man_Battle_Network_(series)
The Hunter's name comes from Maverick Hunters, which is why the have patrol groups of 2-3, for X, Zero, and Axl. lol (Even though, in the Games, Mega Man tends to fight on his own, he does have friends and allies.)
S1 and S2 are actually more a Mega Man Classic reference. S1 is Rock, an normal Assistant Robot, and S2 is after he becomes Mega Man! Adult has more Mega Man X influence.
Also the chirps these guys make are more akin to baby crocodile noises:

Which is the closest real life sound to a buster shot:

Also, props to the one dude on the (unofficial?) Discord who guessed these guys from the egg. You saved everyone from suffering and brought everlasting peace.
Edit: Also, THANKS TO @Kennon FOR HELPING MAKE THESE GUYS. I wouldn't have been able to do it without them! Literally. My Paint died several times during this. lol

- I'm a little late to the reveal party due to a long day at work, but I'm so glad folks like my Hunter sprite ;u; Thank you @Shokomon for inviting me to work on the concept!
I wanted to share a couple of the sketches/concept arts for the Hunter since the larger size does a few of the details better justice. A few things definitely got refined once they were sprites tho. (putting them under a spoiler cause they're kinda big lol)![]()
