Fogged eggs on a scroll

Fogging (or hiding) is an action that is done on an egg or unfrozen hatchling (most commonly sick ones); fogging will prevent it from getting views and most of the time will cure it (see Dragon sickness for more information). Fogged eggs are unable to hatch, but if a fogged egg has enough views to hatch and was fogged before it was able to hatch, after it reaches 4 days, it will hatch when unfogged. Hatchlings are still able to gender while fogged.
When you fog an egg or a hatchling, this message will be displayed:
  • "You hide the egg/hatchling in a thick cloud of fog."

When you unfog the egg or hatchling, this message is shown:

  • "You dispel the fog around the egg/hatchling."

Only the owner can see the dragon's info page. If you do not own the dragon you will see the message

  • "You can't seem to find the dragon you're looking for."

The image for a fogged dragon is the same image for the Glitch Dragon.

There is currently a glitch where the egg of a Nocturne Dragon shows up as fogged on an incubator.

One cannot use any BSA (Breed Specific Action) such as Influence on a fogged egg. The egg must be unfogged for the BSA to take effect.

If you refresh the page when it says "you hide the egg/hatchling in a thick cloud of fog" it will unhide the egg/hatchling. (It works vice versa too.)

Fogged egg or hatchling

When an egg is fogged it will temporarily change the sprite so nobody can see it.
