Dinos come in 5 colors: Green, red, blue, yellow and purple. Purple was the only color not originally on the site from the start and was added recently. The old sprites of the Dinos were actually in fact different colored Yoshi sprites. These Dinos have no breed specific action and are all classed as rare.

Adult:
Finally, after much feeding, your baby has grown into a full Dino! Dinos can eat almost anything, including things with spikes. In order to do so, they must have very tough stomachs. Green Dinos are the only type of Dino that is able to walk on two legs. This frees up their front two legs, which they use to catch and eat fish.
Matured Hatchling:
You were right, it's not the same species as the other eggs. So if it's not a dragon, what is it? And look, it's gotten bigger! Maybe it will reach its full size soon.
