Grave Dragons, or Halloween 2013 Dragons, were the Holiday species given out during Halloween of 2013. Unlike dragons of other holidays, Halloween dragons can be either male or female and do not have a scroll limit set for them. They are only capable of producing more Grave eggs during a certain period when Halloween is celebrated in October. They can still be bred to all year round, producing their partner's breed of egg.

The lack of a scroll limit for Halloween dragons was explained during one year's event by TJ09: "In the words of the pumpkin dragon's creator, Christmas and Valentine's Day are about giving, but Halloween is about grabbing as much candy for yourself as you can".

Under the old Breed sort, these dragons sorted as "Halloween 2013 Dragon" on a user's scroll. As of August 14, 2016, they now sort using their Encyclopedia name.

Official Dragon Descriptions

Egg

"This egg appears to have an evil grin."

Hatchling

"Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. No matter where it goes or what you do, you find this hatchling staring at you."

Mature Hatchling

"Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. No matter where it goes or what you do, you find this hatchling staring at you.
And look! It has grown wings! It must be close to maturing."

Adult

"Grave Dragons are not named for their connections to death or burial, but for the grave expression on their faces. This strange expression is used as a defense mechanism that causes fits of panic and terror in potential predators. Since they only eat ash and charcoal, they do not hunt. Grave Dragons are powerful fire-breathers and have been known to burn down forests and villages alike to make meals. It is believed that the markings on each Grave Dragon’s wings are the faces of those who have lost their lives in fires started by that dragon."
