Gilded Bloodscale Dragons were the second dragons to be released on the one week long "7th Birthday" release. Every single day from May 22, 2013 - May 28, 2013, a new dragon was released to the cave. They were also the second Two-Headed dragons to be added into the cave.

Like all other two-headed dragons, they can only breed with their own kind and their eggs cannot be bitten by Vampire Dragons. Under the old Breed sort, these dragons sorted as "Bloodscale Dragon" on a user's scroll. As of August 14, 2016, they now sort using their Encyclopedia name.

Artist Odeen has described the breed's morphology as a two-headed winged Eastern dragon. However, as the game doesn't currently support winged Easterns as a morphology type, they behave as two-headed Western dragons.

Official Dragon Descriptions

Egg

"This egg glitters oddly in the light."

Hatchling

"Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. It has two heads and seems very inquisitive."

Mature Hatchling

"Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. It has two heads and seems very inquisitive.
And look! It has grown wings! It must be close to maturing."

Adult

"Gilded Bloodscale Dragons often spend hours investigating every minute detail of caves, making sure their living spaces are arranged exactly how they like. They crave intellectual stimulation and get bored easily. As such, these dragons prefer to lure in their prey using their sharp minds rather than brute strength, often engaging in battles of wits between their two heads to determine how best to proceed. Seen as eccentric by other dragons, they are often shunned by all but their own kind."

Trivia

  • As the first Bloodscales were starting to grow up on scrolls, some users reported that the dragon seemed unable to breed with anything. This was later confirmed in chat to be a glitch which has since been fixed.
  • On May 21, 2016, these dragons received updates to their adult sprites as part of the 10th Birthday release.
