Carrot Cave was the 2011 April Fools day event. On April Fools' Day (April 1), 2011, Dragon Cave was transformed into Carrot Cave. The word "dragon", across the entire site (including scroll names, dragon names, user descriptions, everything except the heading), was changed into "carrot". Other changes include "hatchling" becoming "sprout", "egg" becoming "seed", "drake" becoming "potato" (as in "Ochrepotato", the Carrot Cave version of the Ochredrake), and "dino" also becoming "banana". Also, Leetle Trees became broccoli: April Fools Leetle Tree

Members who logged into the cave any time on April 1, 2011 received the carrot badge: April Fools 2011 carrot badge

Additionally, on this day was released a new color variation of the Nebula Dragons (green and red), for celebrating their first in-cave birthday.

On the forum, instead, the word "carrot" in users' posts was automatically changed with a filter to "dragon"; for example, when they spoke of the "carrot badge" it became "dragon badge". Vice versa, the word "dragon" was changed in "carrot", creating a lot of mess: in fact, the users that were talking about what they found on your scrolls had their posts "reversed to normality", so the others at first couldn't understand what they were talking about. When everybody found what was happening, they started to write "c.arrot" and "d.ragon" (or similar expedient) in order to avoid the filter and write posts freely.

There was an issue regarding the new Leetle Tree sprite with the "Alternate custom sorting". When used, the Leetle Tree's sprite was replaced with the "fog" sprite. The believed reason is that the sort tool did not recognized the new sprite and displayed the fog image in its place (see Glitch Dragons).
