The Festival of Eggs was the first Easter event on Dragon Cave. Every five to fifteen minutes, a collectable egg would appear on pages around the Dragon Cave site. When clicked, an egg basket would appear at the top of users' scrolls. Users could click on the basket to see the eggs they had collected.
The original event was devised by Marrionetta and TJ09, and featured work from site artists, moderators, and former Eggspress volunteer egg makers.

Egg baskets[]
The egg baskets and basket badges were made by Umbreonage.
Large baskets[]
The large egg baskets were only visible in 2010 during the event, and later changed into the small egg basket badges after the event ended.
The amount of eggs only visibly changed within the large baskets.
There were three color variations, which randomly varied from scroll to scroll. Umbreonage's basket had its own color, as well as Marrionetta's, since she was the organizer of the festival. The amount of eggs in the big baskets increased by certain milestones. During the event, the big basket was centered at the top of a user's scroll.

Basket badge[]
The badges replaced the big baskets after the 2010 Festival of Eggs ended. In subsequent events, users can obtain the basket badge by collecting at least one egg from a Festival.
