Spoiler buffer duration[]
Our current spoiler policy dictates that we maintain our spoiler period until the closing of the current release/event thread. Generally, this isn't a problem. Regular releases usually close a little over a week from the initial release, and events are usually closed shortly after the event concludes on-site.
The current Sonata release has kept the thread open longer than typical, due to the slow moving time-based mechanic being discussed. The thread staying open also holds up releasing current known information on the wiki. I'm wondering if we may want to reconsider the spoiler window, and put a defined cutoff time. Considering amending the spoiler window to be:
- At the close of the release thread OR 10 days after the start of the release, whichever comes first
- At the conclusion of the on-site event for events with defined end times
