Baikala Dragons were released on July 17, 2017, alongside Script Dragons. Like all other two-headed dragons, they can only breed with their own kind and their eggs cannot be bitten by Vampire Dragons.

Official Dragon Descriptions

Egg

"This heavy egg has a soft, yielding shell."

Hatchling

"Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. It has two heads and loves to hunt minnows."

Mature Hatchling

"Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. It has two heads and loves to hunt minnows.
And look! Its fins have grown longer! It must be close to maturing."

Adult

"Baikala Dragons are mysterious beasts that inhabit the lesser-known depths of deep lakes and oceans. These exceptional swimmers actively hunt whatever live prey has the misfortune to draw near, and have even been known to breach in order to snag low-flying prey directly out of the air. Though it is unknown exactly how intelligent Baikala are, they are exceptional strategists and problem solvers. Their two heads seem to think and behave as one."

Breeding Results

The color of a Baikala egg depends on these factors:[1]

  • The biome the CB Baikala egg was picked up from: freshwater (green) Baikala are found in Forest and Jungle, while saltwater (blue) Baikala are found in Coast.
  • Male Male Baikala x any CB female dragon = Egg color of its mother's biome.
    • If the mother has no biome (bred dragon) or is from Cave, Alpine, Desert, or Volcano, offspring will be the color of the Baikala father.
  • Female CB Female Baikala x any male dragon = Egg color of the female Baikala.

Trivia

  • Their eggs are a recolored version of the Hooktalon Dragon egg sprite.
  • This dragon's description had a typo regarding the name when first released that has since been corrected, calling it the "Bailaka Dragon". Before the typo was fixed, the official breed name was confirmed with the spriter to be Baikala, with the following information given:
Baikala Dragon, named after Lake Baikal, the largest, deepest freshwater lake in the world.
Odeen (Private Message)
  • When first released, an error occurred where the different color variations of this dragon dropped in unintended biomes: green variants appeared in all 3 biomes and blue variants appeared in the Coast and Jungle. This was then later corrected and addressed by TJ09 on the forums.[1]
  • The different color variations indicate whether the breed is freshwater-dwelling (green), or saltwater-dwelling (blue).[1]
