Aria Dragons were released on May 21, 2016, as part of Dragon Cave's 10th Birthday release. They are an update and reintroduction of Bright Pink Dragons after they were retired in 2009.
Breeding Aria Dragons may produce eggs of their own breed or their partner's breed, however Pink eggs may be produced on occasion for backwards compatibility with their predecessors.[1]
Official descriptions[]
Egg[]
This bright egg has a warm shell.
Hatchling[]
Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. It’s brightly colored and chirps quite often.
Mature hatchling[]
Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. It’s brightly colored and chirps quite often.
And look! It has grown wings! It must be close to maturing.
Adult[]
Aria dragons are a brightly-colored and sprightly breed, perhaps most adored for their lyric calls. Their song-like melodies fill the areas they inhabit; their coos resemble those of birds, only more elegant and refined. They have fairly strong magical capabilities, but tend to reserve these strengths for last-minute defense, choosing to live their lives in simple peace. Arias, sticking to the tropics, typically live quite far from human settlements, giving rise to the previously held belief that they had gone extinct.

History[]
Bright Pink Dragons were one of the original breeds on the site, having been released on June 2, 2007, alongside Chickens, Gold Dragons and Neglected Dragons. They were one of the few female-only breeds.
Bright Pinks were discontinued as cave drops in April 2009. The breed experienced a surge in demand as it became less common and was being replaced by Pink Dragons. Bright Pinks could be produced through breeding for an additional three months, however the success rate slowly decreased as they were phased out and retired altogether in August 2009. This was the first case of a non‑event dragon being retired from the cave.
After their retirement, Bright Pinks could only produce Pink eggs or the eggs of their partner's breed. The breeding mechanic of Aria Dragons is a nod to this behavior.

It's bright. And pink.

Adult[]
Bright pink dragons are one of the few all-female breeds of dragons. Their bright colors make them easy to spot during dragon mating season. They are primarily herbivores, but eat meat during mating season when it is brought to them by a mate. Mating seasons occur once every 200 years and can last up to 2 years.
