April Fools' Day is an event which has been recognized on Dragon Cave since 2009. The event usually includes some form of joke or prank played on users, such as uncatchable eggs or changed dragon sprites. Since 2017, the Dragon's Dilemma mini-game has been included in April Fools' Day celebrations.

    • The release banner described "a new breed that you can't even breed or release like other dragons," leading users to believe it was a prank breed.

  • The Dragon's Dilemma mini-game was available.
  • The Happy Something! event occurred, causing many dragons to be recolored like Mint Dragons.
    • The first day of the 2018 Festival of Eggs coincided with April Fools' day this year, and Festival eggs were also recolored with the Mint Dragon palette.
