Rarity Rare-Holiday Dragon
Color Blue, white, gold
Breed specific action Enrage/Pacify
Habitat None - Breedable Only

Aegis Dragons, also known as Christmas Dragons '15, were released for three days starting Christmas of 2015 and ending on December 27th (23:59:59 pm), with a limit of two CB per scroll. They are a male-only breed of dragon and were dropped in all habitats. They are the first in the line of Christmas dragons to not be a Western dragon.

They can only reproduce the week surrounding Christmas Day, though they can still breed with other females and produce the female's breed of egg during the rest of the year. The only time you can get an Aegis dragon egg is during Christmas time when Aegis dragons will be able to be bred again.

This dragon is the second holiday dragon to receive a Breed Specific Action after the Vampire Dragon. Their action, called "Enrage", changes the adult's physical appearance until the reversing action of "Pacify" is used to calm them down. The "Enrage" action can only be performed if there are dead eggs, hatchlings or dragons on the user's scroll. The reversing action of "Pacify" can only be used when any dead eggs, hatchlings or dragons on the user's scroll have disappeared. An Aegis dragon may remain permanently in its Enraged form so long as the user never uses "Pacify".

When sorted by "Breed", they are listed as "Christmas 2015 dragon" on a user's scroll.

Additional Information

Aegis concept art
Aegis Dragon

Aegis Dragons are benevolent, gentle dragons.
They have the ability to fly using magic.
They're fairly large, about the size of an adult elephant when fully grown.
They have short, fine fur covering their bodies.
Their fur and manes are pillowy-soft, like down.

Due to their kind nature, they can't stand seeing something wrong happen.
Being naughty with an Aegis nearby is never a good thing, because that will set one off into a rage that's hard to quell... so make sure to be nice, okay? Not everything is always as it seems.

Aegis concept art2
In the presence of naughty behavior, the normally-gentle Aegis flies into an uncontrollable rage.
When enraged, the Aegis dragon smells distinctly of charred earth.
His eyes glow bright red with bloodwrath, and his talons grow long and hooked.
His mane is an untamed, coarse, twiggy mess.
Enraged Aegis dragons will hunt down the object of their anger with destructive intent until the wrongdoer either repents or is killed.
They will remain enraged until such time as someone manages to pacify them.

  • Many users at first mistook the design for being Eastern in nature- one of the artists clarified this:
They're like Magmas! Not easterns at all. ovo
