슈모가 드래곤(Shumoga Dragon)은 2021년 8월에 추가된 종으로 평범하게 부화한 일반 개체와 죽이기를 시도하거나 그린드래곤의 특수능력인 지진을 써서 부화시킨 변이 개체로 나누어집니다.
이렇듯 강제로 부화한 개체의 설정을 추가한 이유로는 제작자가 실패할 확률이 있으나 도전해보고 싶은 마음이 드는 게 좋다는 개인적인 취향에 따랐다고 합니다.

"Shumoga Dragons are a skittish breed, more likely to spit fire at a threat and take to the air than stand and fight. However, if cornered, they will wield their fiery breath and sharp hind claws in lethal defense. Their claws are also a powerful weapon for hunting—they drop down on their prey from above and disembowel it with a swift slash. Pale Shumoga Dragons are rarely seen in the wild, as their coloring only fades to a soft orange if the hatchling remains in their egg for a long period of time. They tend to be scorned by their dark-winged brethren because they are considered weaker, but they have a much calmer and more friendly temperament. Unlike their wild kin, they do not force eggs to hatch but rather allow their hatchlings to choose when to emerge."
(슈모가 드래곤들은 위협받았을 때 어느쪽인가 하면 맞서 싸우기보다는 불을 내뿜고 날아올라 도망치는 겁이 많은 종입니다. 그러나 궁지에 몰리면 불을 뿜는 숨결과 날카로운 뒷발톱을 치명적인 방어용으로 휘두를 겁니다. 이들의 발톱은 또한 사냥에서 매우 강력한 무기로―위에서부터 먹잇감을 향해 내리꽂혀 신속한 베기로 내장을 가릅니다. 창백한 슈모가 드래곤들은 이들의 빛깔이 해츨링이 알 속에서 오랜 기간동안 머물러있을 때만 연한 주황색으로 흐려지기에 야생에서 드물게 관찰됩니다. 자신의 어두운 날개를 한 동족으로부터 더 약하다고 여겨지기 때문에 경멸당하는 경향이 있지만 훨씬 더 침착하고 친근한 기질을 가집니다. 자신들의 야성적인 혈종과 달리 알들을 강제로 부화시키기보다는 그 해츨링들더러 언제 나올지 정하도록 합니다.)

Wild Shumoga Dragons always have dark silver scales and black wings due to this forced hatching, and those that survive to adulthood display these colors proudly as a sign of survival of the fittest. However, the stress of hatching early affects their temperament, and adults tend to be nervous, irritable, and quick to take offense."
